Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer to build scalable, performant applications using React, Next.js on AWS. You will own features end-to-end, including planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will optimize performance, shape architecture, and mentor engineers while ensuring browser compatibility and production reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Broad knowledge across backend, infrastructure, and databases.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent experience.
• Deep proficiency in React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of component architecture, state management and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js and AWS.
• Ability to lead code reviews and mentor engineers.
• Ability to articulate technical trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Experience optimizing front-end systems for performance and scale.
• Ability to deliver features end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, performant front-end applications using React and Next.js on AWS.
• Make decisions about component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and browser compatibility.
• Own features from conception through production, including building, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Ensure front-end system stability and performance through monitoring, debugging, and resolving production issues.
• Improve build times, bundle size, and runtime performance.
• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams across the full stack.
• Maintain technical documentation on architectural patterns, decisions, and system behavior.
• Lead code reviews and mentor engineers.
