Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead production-grade applications built with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Flask. You will break down work, coordinate across teams, and uphold secure, scalable coding standards.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to API design, and collaborate with Solution Architects and DevOps for CI/CD and deployment readiness in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with senior/lead exposure.
• Proven experience with full-stack development (React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Flask).
• Strong ability to write, review, and maintain secure, scalable production code.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, and modern delivery practices.
• Understanding DevSecOps, secure coding, automated testing, and OWASP Top 10.
• Experience in Agile environments; planning, estimation, backlog refinement, sprint execution.
• Mentoring engineers through coaching, code reviews, and knowledge transfer.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Flask.
• Lead sprint-level technical delivery by breaking down requirements and coordinating work across teams.
• Drive engineering quality through code reviews, testing standards, and secure coding practices.
• Serve as a primary technical resource for resolving blockers and evaluating tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to execute designs and elevate architecture decisions.
• Work with DevOps teams to support CI/CD, testing, security, and deployment readiness.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Support Agile delivery with backlog refinement, planning, estimation, and standups.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including API specs and architecture records.
• Monitor performance post-release and participate in incident response and remediation.
