Job summary

Lentech, Inc. is seeking an Experienced UI Front End Software Engineer (SWE3) to lead a talented team of UI developers.

You will design front-end architecture, set coding standards, and stay hands-on through the full software lifecycle in an agile environment. The ideal candidate will translate UX/UI designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with system engineers and product stakeholders to resolve technical challenges while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required; 4 years of additional SWE experience may substitute for the degree.
• Ten+ years? The HTML specifies twelve (12) years' experience as a SWE in similar scope is required.
• Experience leading or mentoring a development team.
• Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Full-stack experience including backend development and API design (RESTful/GraphQL).
• Experience with state management, component-based architecture, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure GovCloud is a plus).
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI and systems engineers to implement accessible interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of UI developers, defining front-end architecture and coding standards while remaining hands-on.
• Translate UX/UI designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces and mentor junior developers.
• Develop and debug software across the full stack in an agile environment.
• Architect scalable, maintainable front-end solutions using modern frameworks.
• Ensure accessibility standards (WCAG/Section 508) are met across interfaces.
• Analyze requirements, derive design and performance standards, and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with UX/UI and systems engineers to preserve design intent in implementation.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and architectural decisions.
• Identify and resolve cross-browser issues and technical debt.
