Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer to design and develop new software products, or significantly enhance existing ones. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with experience building modular, reusable components and a modern front-end framework in an Agile environment.

They will collaborate with a small team of engineers and designers to understand requirements, optimize for speed and usability, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 8–10 years of related software development experience.
• Extensive experience with Angular.
• Expert knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience designing complex search interfaces.
• Experience optimizing web applications for performance and usability.
• Experience with integrating with third party APIs.
• Proficient understanding of Git.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable components that align with the system design patterns.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in team design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with a small team of engineers and designers to understand business requirements and user experience goals.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
• Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues.
