Yield Solutions Group in Centennial, CO is seeking a Senior Software Developer 3 to own architectural decisions for cross-service features with a front-end emphasis and full architectural ownership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development with deep production experience in both Java Spring Boot and React.
• Demonstrated ownership of architectural decisions in a microservices environment.
• Expert-level TypeScript proficiency in a production codebase, including advanced type system patterns.
• Deep command of microservices architecture: service decomposition, inter-service communication patterns, API contract design, and versioning strategy.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping complex, interactive front-end features at scale in React, including advanced state management patterns.
• Production experience with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD.
• WCAG 2.1 accessibility fluency across team output.
• Observability with Datadog or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural decisions for complex, cross-service features.
• Set and enforce front-end and full stack standards across the team: React, TypeScript, API design, tests, and AI practices.
• Conduct authoritative code reviews focusing on architecture, performance under load, security, and data contracts.
• Model delegation using Nate B Jones framework: decide tasks for AI agents and human ownership.
• Raise architectural concerns during sprint planning and design reviews.
• Mentor engineers on spec writing, AI delegation, and disciplined engineering practices.
• Author structured specs before implementation and design stable REST APIs.
