Job summary

FNBO seeks a Vice President of Fraud Strategy and Operations to lead enterprise fraud prevention, detection, and resolution across multiple portfolios, including card products. You will oversee 250+ staff through 5–6 Directors, manage a multimillion-dollar budget, and align risk appetite with executives and the board.

You will drive detection technology, governance, and process improvements while partnering with Legal, Compliance, and IT to reduce losses and protect customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial services fraud management (Credit/Debit).
• 7+ years in a leadership role with 3+ years of direct reports.
• Proven track record managing large, multi-functional teams.
• Knowledge of fraud detection technologies and industry trends.
• Knowledge of authorization systems and fraud platforms.
• Strong regulatory compliance background related to fraud and disputes.
• General knowledge of card payment networks and their standards.
• Proficient in data analytics and BI methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise fraud prevention strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead rule writing and detection strategy across portfolios and channels.
• Oversee fraud investigations, disputes, and regulatory compliance processes.
• Manage fraud and disputes call center operations and third-party partnerships.
• Oversee budgeting, ROI evaluation, and cost optimization for fraud tools and technologies.
• Drive AI/ML and digital transformation initiatives to enhance prevention capabilities.
