Job summary

Extend is building a next-generation post-purchase protection platform that uses AI to detect fraud and protect retailers and customers. The Fraud Intelligence team analyzes signals from hundreds of millions of users to decide what to catch and how to stop fraud while maintaining customer trust.

You will work on a fast-moving front line of AI-enabled fraud review, shaping monitoring, dashboards, and rule-based improvements, and mentoring junior analysts in SQL and Python.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fraud analytics experience in e-commerce or retail.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• Experience with SQL and Python for data analysis.
• Experience evaluating or tuning automated decisioning systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale behavioral, transactional, and interaction data to uncover signals indicative of fraud and abuse.
• Develop monitoring dashboards and mitigation solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate the AI review agent quality and improve prompts, rules, and workflows.
• Collaborate with the ML team to translate findings into model features and scoring feedback.
• Participate in design and code reviews and mentor junior analysts on SQL and analysis best practices.
