Job summary

Fortune-Johnson is seeking a Framing Superintendent to lead framing field operations on large multifamily projects. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of framing or structural construction experience and a proactive, organized approach to meeting project schedules.

You will review plans, coordinate sequencing and manpower, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Strong communication and Procore proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of framing or structural construction experience.
• Must be proactive, organized, and able to work with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to foster relationships with framing subcontractors and hold them accountable.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Office, and Procore.
• Ability to coordinate and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all framing field operations, coordinating with the Project Superintendent to ensure project success.
• Review framing plans, shop drawings, submittals, and specs for alignment with project requirements.
• Coordinate framing activities, sequencing, scheduling, logistics, and manpower planning.
• Identify long-lead materials and communicate with the project team for timely procurement and delivery.
• Manage the framing inspection process to meet standards.
• Provide direction to framing subcontractors and labor teams, monitor productivity, quality, and safety.
• Complete daily reports, QA/QC docs, punch lists, and safety inspections.
• Ensure framing materials and tools are delivered and staged to support workflow.
• Monitor framing budgets and hold subcontractors accountable for performance and scope.
