Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to develop and verify FPGA-based hardware for satellites and aerospace systems. You will lead HDL design, verification, testing, and deployment across multiple clock domains and interfaces.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in FPGA design/verification and strong communication skills to present to customers and executives. This is a full-time, on-site Colorado position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of industry or university research experience in FPGA systems at the HDL level.
• Expertise in FPGA design and verification (Verilog/VHDL, HDL coder, Xilinx Vivado, Modelsim).
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own FPGA circuits and systems through all development phases from design to deployment.
• Perform verification, testing, and deployment at the HDL level for high-speed interfaces and data streams.
• Present engineering design review materials to customers and executives; contribute to proposals.
