Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to design and verify projects on AMD/Xilinx platforms for software-defined radios. You will own end-to-end FPGA development, collaborate with software and hardware teams, and help establish robust design processes to deliver mission-ready systems.

Candidates should be proficient in VHDL/Verilog, CDC strategies, and high-speed interfaces, and be capable of working in a fast-paced defense environment with strict security

Qualifications

• 4-7 years professional experience in FPGA design or related field.
• Experience with FPGA devices from major vendors (AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera).
• Understanding of FPGA architecture and device primitives.
• Experience implementing CDC strategies; knowledge of STA.
• High-speed interfaces (PCIe, JESD, Aurora, N-Gbps optical).
• HDL design in VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Proficiency in testing HDL with C, Python, SystemVerilog.
• Proficiency in a Linux development environment.
• Proficiency using Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Strong self-starter, outcomes-driven, and good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end FPGA development for software defined radios and EW platforms.
• Collaborate with software and electrical engineers to bring up boards and verify designs.
• Design and test VHDL DSP modules and infrastructure.
• Integrate subsystems into larger FPGA cores and manage timing/resource contentions.
• Develop drivers for RF component boards (PLLs, front ends).
• Manage project deliverables and document progress.
