Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks an experienced Sr. FPGA Developer to join the COMSEC team within Core Systems and Components. You will design, develop, verify FPGA for secure communications systems and work with hardware and systems teams to deliver high‑performance solutions.

You will perform synthesis, timing analysis, and bring‑up support while contributing to architecture and documentation in a safety‑driven, inclusive culture. Applicants should have a TS‑preferred background and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of FPGA development experience.
• Proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, etc.).
• Strong understanding of digital design, timing, and verification.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, simulate, and verify FPGA for COMSEC applications.
• Collaborate with circuit designers and embedded developers throughout the lifecycle.
• Define and document architecture, requirements, and interfaces.
• Perform FPGA synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis.
• Support hardware bring-up, integration, and testing activities.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in lab and field environments.
• Contribute to design reviews and technical documentation.
