Job summary

Apex Bridge Talent Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, test, and document safety-critical hardware for aerospace and defense applications. You will develop FPGA/CPLD designs, conduct RTL synthesis, and support qualification testing across multiple project phases.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10+ years of circuit design experience, strong VHDL/SystemVerilog skills, and hands-on hardware integration. Travel up to 25% may be required, and a DO-254 background is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–10+ years of circuit design experience
• Master’s degree with 3+ years preferred for advanced roles
• Proven HDL-based FPGA/CPLD design with verification
• Experience with VHDL and SystemVerilog
• Familiarity with DO-254 avionics standards
• Hands-on hardware build, test, and integration experience

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and document safety-critical hardware
• Develop FPGA/CPLD designs across design phases for aerospace systems
• Perform RTL synthesis, test bench development, and design verification
• Prototype evaluation, design-to-cost tradeoffs, and design reviews
• Support qualification testing and system integration
• Travel up to 25% as needed
