Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead FPGA/verification activities across avionics hardware projects. You will design, verify, and support FPGA/ASIC/CPLD solutions, develop VHDL designs, and manage certification artifacts for DO-254.

This senior role requires architecture definition, planning, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams. The role emphasizes technical leadership, schedule and cost management, and mentoring less-experienced engineers in a regulated

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional design experience in FPGA/ASIC/CPLD environments.
• Experience with VHDL-based design and simulation.
• Experience in DO-254 certification artifacts and DOORS requirements traceability.

Responsibilities

• Design FPGA/ASIC/CPLD solutions for avionics hardware.
• Develop and maintain VHDL designs and verification environments.
• Create and maintain DO-254 certification artifacts and DOORS traceability.
• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor engineers on complex projects.
