Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Northridge, CA seeks an FPGA Digital Design Engineer Level 4 to support the ARRGM-ER missile program within the Advanced Weapons Business Unit. You will contribute to high-speed digital designs, select components, and collaborate with Systems Engineering to ensure the firmware meets requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or STEM with 8+ years in digital design and verification.
• Hands-on FPGA design experience with VHDL and/or Verilog within the past 6 years.
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx and/or Intel/Altera SoC FPGAs; proficiency with EDA tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify and evaluate digital circuitry for FPGA-based hardware.
• Determine design approaches and parameters and analyze operating data.
• Review vendor capability to support product development.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to ensure firmware meets system requirements.
• Support implementation of digital FPGA hardware architecture and algorithms.
• Review designs and analysis.
