Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced FPGA Designer to join our Mission Systems team in Owego, NY. You will lead hardware development for advanced processing systems, ensuring technical integrity and delivering on cost and schedule commitments.

Responsibilities include managing FPGA development processes, providing technical guidance, and coordinating with customers. The role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility and a background in electrical/computer engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical, Computer, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years or more of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Experience with FPGA design tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Synopsys Synplify).
• Experience with process reviews, audits.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to at least the Secret level.

• Supporting overall organizational process compliance, including management of the FPGA Development Process.
• FPGA development activities and providing technical guidance.

The Work

Develops, designs, verifies, and documents Application‑Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) development. Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. Assignments include the analysis of all aspects from high‑level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power utilization. Typically uses specialized equipment to establish operation data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
