Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to lead high-speed FPGA development, RTL design, and verification for complex interfaces in Greenville, SC. The role focuses on delivering RTL code across multiple FPGA families, with emphasis on low latency, high throughput, and reliability standards.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams, develop reusable testbenches and verification plans, and mentor junior engineers while operating in a 100% onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in RTL design and verification of FPGA designs.
• Experience in testbench development and verification of complex FPGA designs.
• Proficient with FPGA simulation and synthesis tools such as Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus.
• Knowledge of FPGA architecture and optimization techniques.
• Ability to perform FPGA power estimation and analysis.
• Understanding of high-speed interfaces and control protocols.
• Experience with System-on-Chip technologies.
• Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead full life-cycle FPGA development from requirements to system integration.
• Document FPGA architecture with block diagrams and clocking strategies.
• Develop robust testbenches and achieve code coverage closure.
• Create and execute detailed test plans and verification reports.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate designs at board/system level.
• Implement and validate JTAG boundary scan and DFT features.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive design-process improvements.
