RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead FPGA/ASIC and Foundational Software programs, coordinating across engineering, program management, and customer teams to deliver on time and within budget. This role requires active U.S.

security clearance and citizenship. Responsibilities include study planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and managing a broad range of engineers, with travel up to 10% annually.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years experience or an Advanced Degree with 7+ years of experience
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required before start date
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
• Experience managing technical projects including schedule and Earned Value management, risk management, customer interaction, and briefing leadership
• 2+ years of cross-functional teamwork with engineering, program management and/or customers
• 2+ years of experience in an Agile development environment

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Engineering for FPGA/ASIC and Foundational Software programs to meet internal and customer commitments
• Provide project management direction during pursuit, bidding, planning, and execution
• Track and report cost and schedule status
• Ensure compliance with Program and Product requirements as reflected in design plans
• Lead a wide range of entry-level to highly experienced engineers
• Travel up to 10% annually
