Job summary

Ascend Learning in Burlington, MA is seeking a Sr Financial Portfolio Analyst to support technology and content teams with capital expenditures, OPEX, budgets, and KPI insights. The role offers a hybrid schedule with options for remote work.

We are looking for candidates with 6+ years in FP&A, strong Excel and PowerBI skills, and experience with data warehouses and visualization tools. Collaboration with leaders across technology and product is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive FP&A experience.
• Experience with data warehouses and visualization tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reporting of Company-wide Capital Expenditures and Operating Expense; explain variances and identify opportunities for improving spending efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare annual budget, forecasts, and actual reporting against those; drive corrective action planning as needed to meet business objectives.
• Develop reporting and insights using PowerBI dashboards to provide visibility into capitalisation rates, trends and KPIs.
• Define metrics for planning, tracking, and reporting projects for on-time and on-budget performance with technology and product leaders.
• Identify cost leverage and productivity opportunities; partner with procurement and leadership to deliver savings.
• Partner with accounting to ensure appropriate business controls.
