Job summary

Orthodox Union seeks a senior FP&A Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting within a complex, multi-program nonprofit. The role partners with department heads and senior management to translate financial data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in FP&A or related fields, CPA/MBA/CMA/CFA preferred, and strong Excel and Power BI skills. Experience with nonprofit or multi-entity structures is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years FP&A, corporate finance, or financial reporting
• CPA/MBA/CMA/CFA strongly preferred
• Advanced financial modeling; strong Excel & Power BI skills

• Strong communication; able to explain complex financial data to nonfinancial audiences

Job description

The Orthodox Union, the largest Orthodox Jewish organization in the United States, seeks a senior finance professional to lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, management reporting, and decision support. Within a complex, multi-program organization, the FP&A Manager partners with department leaders and senior management to translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable insight.

Responsibilities:

• Lead organization-wide budgeting, liquidity forecasting, reforecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning
• Prepare forward-looking monthly and quarterly analyses for management and the Board of Directors; present findings at related meetings
• Build management reporting packages, executive summaries, dashboards, and KPIs
• Analyze revenue, expenses, departmental allocations, grants, fundraising activity, and program-level performance
• Standardize and automate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
• Partner with Accounting Directors and Controllers to ensure reporting reconciles to the general ledger

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration required
• 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial reporting
• CPA, MBA, CMA, or CFA strongly preferred
• Advanced financial-modeling skills with substantial proficiency in Excel and Power BI
• Nonprofit or multi-entity/multi-program experience preferred; NetSuite experience a plus
• Strong communication skills, including explaining complex financial information to nonfinancial audiences

Salary:

$140,000-$175,000, commensurate with experience.
