Job summary

Obsidian is seeking a Domain Expert – FP&A (Financial Forecaster) to review, QA, and grade AI-generated forecasts within complex forecasting packs. The role requires deep FP&A experience, weekly use of Financial Forecaster, and strong judgment to distinguish inputs, calculations, and acknowledged vintages.

You will work on scenarios, coordinate-based figures, and governance documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance across deliverables.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in FP&A, financial reporting, or related areas.
• Regular use of Financial Forecaster weekly or more.
• Ability to read a Financial Forecaster model and identify inputs vs calculations.
• Experience with model scenarios, vintages, and coordinate-based figures.
• Experience evaluating AI-agent outputs and grading accuracy.
• CPA/CFA or MBA is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review and QA AI-agent rollouts: judge against the model and documents.
• Identify failure modes and flag tasks that are too easy or solvable without using Financial Forecaster.
• Improve realism and difficulty of tasks to reflect authentic FP&A work.
• Update grading guidance for accuracy and correct gating.
• Catch plausible-but-wrong answers that could mislead reviewers.
