Job summary

Obsidian is seeking a Domain Expert – FP&A (Financial Forecaster) to lead hands-on forecasting work using Financial Forecaster. You will review AI-agent outputs, ensure model-and-document consistency, and guide task difficulty to reflect authentic FP&A scenarios.

A strong background in forecast analytics and covenant measures is required. You will work with cross-functional teams to tighten validations, interpret vintages, and ensure accurate reconciliations across packs and reports.

Qualifications

• Frequent hands-on use of Financial Forecaster in forecasting, covenant or reporting work.
• 5+ years in FP&A, financial reporting, or technical accounting roles.
• Ability to read a Financial Forecaster model and distinguish inputs from calculations.
• Familiarity with scenario creation, locking, and import mechanics.
• CPA/CFA/MBA welcome but not required; experienced FP&A specialists preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and QA AI-agent rollouts in Financial Forecaster; judge accuracy against model and documents.
• Identify failure modes and flag tasks that are too easy or mis-solved.
• Improve realism by refining prompts and seeded world to reflect authentic FP&A work.
• Update grading guidance for accuracy to differentiate correct vs. incorrect results.
• Catch plausible-but-wrong answers that could mislead a non-expert reviewer.
