Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the Surgical Operating Unit’s FP&A function. This onsite U.S.

role partners with executive leadership to drive growth, profitability, and strategic initiatives across revenue, margins, and capital investments. The position leads a high-performing team of finance professionals, delivering forecasting, planning, and performance insights to guide critical business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of finance experience with 7+ years of people leadership, or advanced degree with 7+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience leading financial planning, forecasting, annual operating planning, and business performance management.
• Experience managing P&L and supporting executive-level financial decision-making.
• Experience presenting financial results and recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies.
• Lead annual operating planning, long-range planning, forecasting, and monthly close processes.
• Provide executive-level insights on revenue, margins, and capital investments.
• Drive performance management with financial metrics and actionable insights.
• Develop a high-performing finance organization through leadership and coaching.
• Collaborate with operations, commercial, and R&D to support strategic decisions.
