Job summary

Bed Bath & Beyond is seeking a senior FP&A leader to own the monthly forecast and annual outlook, link driver-based inputs to consolidated results, and drive close processes with Controllership. Qualifications

• 10+ years of FP&A with 3+ years owning forecast and/or monthly close review at manager/director level.
• Proven track record building finance processes: calendars, templates, controls, governance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting/close mechanics and partnership with Controllership.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to senior executives.
• Advanced financial modeling skills; experience with EPM/planning systems (Anaplan, Adaptive, OneStream, Hyperion).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• CPA or public accounting/controllership background with FP&A.
• Public company experience, including earnings prep and guidance.
• Retail or consumer products experience.
• Experience in transformation or high-change environment.

Responsibilities

• Forecast & Outlook: Own monthly forecast and full-year outlook across all lines of business; establish calendar, templates, test assumptions, lead consolidation.
• Build a driver-based forecast linking channel, cost, and SG&A to Revenue, EBITDA, and Cash Flow.
• Lead gap-closure and task-back exercises when outlook misses plan, assign owners, track delivery.
• Close & Partnership with Control: Partner with Controller on month-end close calendar, flash results, accruals, and reconciliation to GAAP.
• Establish clear handoffs, definitions, and controls between FP&A and Accounting to use one version of the truth.
• Support quarterly reporting and investor-relations materials with Control, Legal, and FP&A Lead.
• Performance Management & Executive Communication: Run monthly business reviews with KPI/variance analysis; present to CFO/CEO/ELT.
• Prepare executive-ready materials, distill results, and recommend actions.
• Proactively surface risks and opportunities to senior leaders.
• Process Building & Leadership: Design scalable forecast/close processes; automate where possible; reduce cycle time.
• Partner on planning-system and reporting-tool improvements.
• Lead and develop Senior Forecast Analyst and coordinate forecast contributors across Finance.
