Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team in the US Region. You will contribute to consolidated forecasting, reporting, capital planning, and RWA analysis, shaping financial narratives for internal and external stakeholders.

You will operate in a hybrid setup with at least 3 days on-site in Chicago, while remaining days may be remote. The role emphasizes advanced Excel skills, executive-level presentations, and experience with Essbase and BI tools.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Financial Planning or Financial Reporting, preferably within the banking industry.
Strong MS Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data manipulation) and ability to work with large data sets.
Ability to prepare executive-level PowerPoint presentations that clearly tell the financial story.
Experience with Essbase and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Solid understanding of banking fundamentals: balance sheet and P&L.
Self-starter who can work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work in a hybrid model with at least 3 days on-site in Chicago.

Responsibilities

Reporting & Analysis – Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, Board reports, and analyses to support reporting needs across the US Region.
Forecasting and Planning – Monitor ongoing business activities and prepare executive-level forecasts and presentations.
Ad Hoc Analysis – Support ad hoc requests from stakeholders and cross-border teams to meet reporting requirements.
