Job summary

CIBC in Chicago is seeking a Financial Analyst to support month-end close, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, reporting, and strategic initiatives for assigned business units. You will develop standardized templates, reports and dashboards to identify trends, explain variances, and support decision-making with Senior Analysts.

This hybrid role requires strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with Essbase as a plus. A finance-related degree and 5+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis, reporting, or a related finance function.
• A degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field is required.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Essbase experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate planning cycles with Senior Analysts and prepare accurate financial information.
• Create standardized templates, reports, and dashboards to identify trends and explain variances.
• Maintain reporting infrastructure, cost allocations, and timely monthly allocations.
• Partner with teams to support business case development and strategic projects.
