Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Manhattan, New York. You will lead monthly and multi-year financial planning, build advanced models, and partner with leadership to drive profitability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include forecasting, variance analysis, and preparing lender reporting packages. A strong background in FP&A and AI-enabled analytics is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of progressive FP&A experience; real estate experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated experience building financial models.
• Experience with ERP, BI, or other finance technology platforms.
• Proficiency with AI tools to enhance financial analysis and processes.
• Experience with Yardi and/or Salesforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly, annual, and multi-year financial plans and budgets for consolidated and location-level P&Ls.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support planning, growth initiatives, capital allocation, and strategic decisions.
• Partner with management to understand performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Perform monthly variance analysis and actual vs plan reporting across P&Ls, balance sheets, & cash flows.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting, planning processes, and systems efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses using AI and technology.
• Support CFO and senior management with ad hoc analyses and strategic initiatives.
