Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Financial Analyst for an onsite contract-to-hire role in Berwick, PA. This position supports O&M and Capital budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting for leadership.

The role requires 2+ years in GL or FP&A, strong ERP and Excel skills, and a solid understanding of financial statements. It offers 10-hour days on a four-day schedule and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2+ years in GL accounting or FP&A.
• Experience in month-end close and financial statements.
• Forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis experience.
• Strong Excel skills: pivots, VLOOKUP; macros a plus.
• Familiarity with large ERP systems (SAP, Workday, Oracle, SAGE, NetSuite, MS Dynamics or Infor).
• Experience in a company with revenue >$100M.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting of O&M and Capital budgets.
• Develop annual department budgets and major project forecasts.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities with recommendations.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and update projections.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
• Record, classify and summarize transactions per policies.
• Prepare special reports for corporate and station leadership.
• Develop reports explaining budget-to-forecast variances and key drivers.
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries and month-end close activities.
• Support FP&A forecasting and variance analyses.
• Leverage ERP systems and Excel tools to manage data efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of reporting.
• Improve financial processes and data quality.
