Job summary

NextDecade is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst to join the Rio Grande LNG project finance team in Houston. The role will drive monthly actual vs budget analysis, build and maintain financial models, and provide insights to leadership to support budgeting and forecasting for construction and operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in FP&A or related finance roles within energy, strong Excel modeling skills, and proven ability to communicate complex analyses clearly.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar; master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years in FP&A, Accounting, Finance or similar financial or business role within the energy industry.
• Strong Excel skills for financial modeling, analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, diverse environment; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly actual vs budget analysis for construction and operating budgets.
• Create, maintain and update financial models to support the Rio Grande LNG project.
• Lead evaluation of financial processes to drive efficiency and accuracy improvements.
• Communicate and collaborate with leadership to support budgeting and reporting processes.
• Independently prepare ad-hoc analysis, reports, and presentations as needed.
• Travel: 10% may be required.
