Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst I to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team in Newport Beach, CA. You will analyze Life Insurance and Annuity earnings against Plan, drive insights, and support management with detailed business driver stories.

You will collaborate with Analysts, Actuaries and other Finance professionals, lead close processes, and contribute to continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years financial reporting and analysis experience
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Advanced Excel proficiency required (VBA not required)

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly close and GAAP/STAT reporting for Life/Annuity segments
• Analyze plan vs. actual results and explain variances
• Prepare data for rating agency surveys and dashboards
• Drive process improvements within CMD Finance and cross-functional partners
