Job summary

Generac is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for its Home Solar & Storage segment to drive financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. You will partner with business group leaders, corporate finance teams, and functional leaders to provide insights that inform performance and support strategic decisions.

You will consolidate results, develop long-range plans, and enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities, including month-end close and executive-level presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, FP&A, or financial analysis.
• Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial models.
• Knowledge of month-end accruals and financial reporting processes.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and P&L analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly forecast, and long-range planning for the Home Solar & Storage business.
• Complete month end activities and reporting for the Home Solar & Storage P&L including topline, margin, opex, EBITDA analysis and balance sheet support.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting with variance analysis and explanations.
• Develop executive-level financial presentations and supporting exhibits for senior leadership reviews.
• Review and present financial results to key business stakeholders monthly with variance analysis.
• Provide insights, recommendations and sensitivity analysis based on performance drivers and trends.
• Partner with business unit owners to align forecast with latest strategy and initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and standardization of reporting processes.
