Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst – FP&A to drive profitability analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for its Supply and Trading businesses. You will partner with Finance, Risk, Commercial, and Operations to deliver actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, strong Excel/Power BI/Alteryx skills, and a solid understanding of US GAAP. Remote options and comprehensive incentives support this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business analytics, data science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or another quantitative or business-related discipline.
• 8 years job related experience.
• Proficiency with advanced Excel, Power BI, Alteryx; energy trading/RMS experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and U.S. GAAP profitability.
• Experience using SAP or comparable ERP systems for financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Management reporting: Maintain and enhance weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports with clear analysis and commentary.
• Planning & forecasting: Analyze profitability vs. plans to create forecasts and reconciliations for senior management.
• Business decision support: Assess mark-to-market results and explain drivers to stakeholders.
• Business analytics: Identify opportunities to improve analytics and performance tools.
• Scenario modelling: Develop models and document implementation and maintenance procedures.
• Leadership: Share FP&A best practices and contribute to training and cross-training.
• Special projects: Lead initiatives and new systems projects as directed.
