C Spire in Ridgeland, MS, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to drive forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling across assigned areas. You will translate trends into clear recommendations for executives and cross-functional partners.

You will lead monthly and quarterly forecasts, build ROI analyses, and support capital projects. The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, data-driven decision making, and senior-level communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive FP&A or financial analysis experience.
• 1+ year of detailed income statement modeling and analysis.
• Ability to build complex driver-based models and long-range plans.
• Advanced Excel skills and scenario analysis tools.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools and ERP/reporting systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite).
• Strong GAAP understanding and asset/cost accounting concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to assess cost efficiency, performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead monthly and quarterly forecasts using drivers, scenarios, and sensitivity analyses.
• Lead annual operating and capital budgets and long-range plans.
• Prepare executive KPI reporting and variance analyses and flag risks.
• Build ROI analyses and capital project evaluations with audit-ready assumptions.
• Assist in vendor contract evaluations for financial impact.
• Coordinate month-end close with Accounting and budget owners.
• Develop dashboards combining financial and operational data, including AI-enabled analytics.
• Coach junior analysts on modeling, analysis, and presentations.
