Job summary

HRL Laboratories seeks a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our California finance team. Reporting to the FP&A Sr Manager, you will bring 4+ years in FP&A within defense or R&D and provide strategic insights for Directors, VPs, Executives, and the Board.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, build complex financial models, support FPRP/ICS submissions, and collaborate with Program Finance, Accounting, and other teams to drive data-driven decisions and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years in FP&A within defense or R&D.
Experience with FPRP and ICS submissions.
Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
Advanced Excel proficiency.
Experience with government contracts and regulatory compliance a plus.
Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Lead the FP&A process including indirect budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Lead/participate in FPRP and ICS submissions.
Develop and maintain complex financial models.
Analyze performance and provide insights to senior management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Prepare and present financial reports and variance analyses.
Support business strategies with financial analysis and recommendations.
Assist in audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
Mentor junior analysts.
Ad-hoc reporting.
