Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for Research & Development to partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing leaders in California. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, build financial models, and provide strategic analyses to drive performance.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, monthly close support, and ongoing process improvements to strengthen financial discipline across technical functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive FP&A, Operations Finance, Manufacturing Finance, or related experience.
• Strong experience supporting supply chain, manufacturing, production, or operational organizations.
• Advanced budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
• Strong business partnering and communication skills.
• Experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, technology, consumer products, or other product-based manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to support strategic and financial objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities across multiple business functions.
• Develop detailed financial models, management reports, and performance analyses.
• Monitor actual results against forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
• Drive financial discipline and accountability throughout the organization.
• Support monthly close activities, including accrual reviews and variance analysis.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure forecasts align with business initiatives and project timelines.
• Support capital expenditure planning and investment analysis.
• Identify process improvements and help enhance financial planning and reporting processes.
