Job summary

Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago seeks a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to drive financial planning, reporting, and business partnership efforts, while advancing automation and a modern Power BI-based reporting environment.

You will support financial reporting for practice areas and business functions, helping leadership access real-time insights and scalable solutions. A strong Power BI background and collaboration with non-finance stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or business intelligence.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI and data skills; experience with automation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a finance partner – Translate financial performance and key drivers for business and practice leaders.
• Own compensation modeling – Prepare attorney year-end compensation estimates and bonus components based on a complex matrix.
• Deliver executive-ready reporting – Create and enhance recurring management reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Advance reporting modernization – Translate manual reports into automated Power BI dashboards to improve accuracy and visibility.
• Drive process automation – Streamline FP&A workflows using Power Query, Power Automate, and similar tools.
• Enhance data integrity – Improve efficiency and reflect changing business elements in reporting.
