Job summary

Babel Street is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance team in Reston, VA, working closely with the Director, FP&A and Senior Manager, FP&A on forecasting, cash management, budgeting, and strategic analysis. You’ll modernize finance workflows with automation and AI-enabled tools while partnering across departments to drive action based on data.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting and corporate finance foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• 3+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or analytical finance roles.
• Strong accounting and financial statement knowledge including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Advanced financial modeling and data-analysis skills with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own the weekly cash forecast and monthly rolling forecast.
• Develop budgets and forecasts with department heads; analyze variances.
• Support annual budgeting and long-range planning; consolidate inputs.
• Deliver decision-ready analyses with conclusions, risks, and actions.
• Support M&A due diligence, modeling, and analytics.
• Improve FP&A processes, automate workflows, and leverage AI-enabled tools.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate financial insights into business actions.
• Collaborate with CFO and senior leadership on strategic decisions.
