Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services Inc. is seeking an FP&A Analyst III in Jersey City to support expense management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will partner with stakeholders to analyze drivers, maintain models, and automate recurring workflows using Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.

You will work with large data sets, ensure accuracy, and translate financial results into actionable business insights while meeting deadlines and documenting assumptions and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
• Typically 4–7 years of FP&A, expense reporting, financial analysis, or related experience.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost allocations.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is a plus.
• Advanced Excel with large datasets; Power Query / Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze expenses across units and functions, including actual vs budget and variance drivers.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for expenses.
• Prepare recurring expense reporting packages and clear management analyses.
• Maintain financial models and dashboards using Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.
• Work with large structured datasets, perform reconciliations for accuracy and consistency.
• Assist with oracle-like ERP systems for expense planning and reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring workflows and improve data quality.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed.
