Job summary

Assurant seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Business Finance team in New York. You will lead forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting, and strategic financial analysis that informs key business decisions and partnerships with finance, accounting, and business leaders.

You will build and maintain financial models, deliver executive-ready analyses, dashboards, and client-level reporting, and translate complex data into clear insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, business finance, or related analytical role.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis capabilities.
• Ability to turn high volume, complex financial data into clear insights and actions.
• Experience with management reporting, dashboards, and presentations for senior leaders.
• Advanced Excel and experience with financial systems or BI tools.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL or similar BI tools.
• Strong communication and business partnering skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis and decision support for budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and business planning.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reviews with executive-ready reports and dashboards.
• Perform variance analysis across actuals, plan, and forecast for key metrics.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Build and enhance financial models and scenarios to support strategic initiatives.
• Partner with finance, accounting, and business leaders to align assumptions and improve visibility.
• Support annual budget, forecast updates, and ad hoc analyses.
• Maintain data integrity and reporting consistency while improving processes.
