Somewhere is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our remote team. You will own financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting for a portfolio of venture-backed startups, partnering with fractional CFOs to free time for strategy and fundraising.

You will build and maintain three-statement models, track liquidity metrics, and produce board-ready updates while collaborating across multiple client engagements in Pacific-time overlap with San Francisco clients.

• 6+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or operating finance ideally supporting high-growth or venture-backed companies
• Ability to build three-statement and operating models from scratch and deliver review-ready work with limited supervision
• Experience producing board and investor reporting, including variance and KPI analysis

Responsabilidades

• Build board decks and investor updates translating numbers into a clear narrative
• Own accuracy and consistency of reporting across clients

• Partner with founders and leadership to answer financial questions and stress-test assumptions

Senior FP&A Analyst — Fractional Finance Team (Deep-Tech & AI Startups)

Location & Employment Details

• Location: Remote, based in Latin America — required for full Pacific-time-zone overlap with our San Francisco team and clients
• Type: Full-time, long-term engagement (USD)
• Reports to: Senior Finance Director, working day-to-day alongside the firm's fractional CFOs
• Hours: Standard U.S. Pacific business hours

About The Role

This is our first dedicated FP&A hire, and it is a foundational one. As our client base grows, we need a senior analyst who can own the financial modeling and reporting engine beneath our client work — freeing our fractional CFOs to spend more of their time on strategy, fundraising, and board-level decisions.

You will act as the embedded FP&A partner across a portfolio of venture-backed startups, building and maintaining the models, forecasts, and board materials that keep founders and investors confident. Because you will move between multiple client companies, this role rewards someone who can context-switch quickly, produce review-ready work with limited supervision, and bring structure to environments that are often still being built.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Forecasting

• Build and maintain three-statement models, operating budgets, and rolling forecasts across multiple client companies
• Run scenario and sensitivity analysis to support strategic and fundraising decisions
• Track runway, burn, and cash flow, and flag risks early

Reporting & Board Materials

• Prepare monthly reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and budget-vs-actual variance analysis
• Build board decks and investor updates that translate the numbers into a clear narrative
• Own the accuracy and consistency of reporting across clients

Client & Fundraising Support

• Work alongside the fractional CFOs as an embedded member of each client's finance team
• Support capital raises with data-room preparation, metrics, and modeling
• Partner with founders and leadership to answer financial questions and pressure-test assumptions

Operational Finance & Tools

• Maintain data integrity across financial systems and reporting tools
• Track SaaS and growth metrics (ARR, burn multiple, CAC, net retention) relevant to each client
• Use AI and automation to make FP&A workflows faster and more reliable

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or operating finance, ideally supporting high-growth or venture-backed companies
• Proven ability to build three-statement and operating models from scratch and deliver review-ready work with limited supervision
• Experience producing board and investor reporting, including variance and KPI analysis
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the communication polish for client-facing work
• Based in Latin America with full Pacific-time-zone overlap
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets; comfortable working across Google Workspace
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CPA, or CFA
• Experience supporting SaaS, deep-tech, AI, hardware, or other frontier-tech startups, including familiarity with SaaS metrics
• Prior experience at a fractional CFO firm, or supporting multiple entities or clients at once
• Exposure to fundraising, capital raising, or M&A processes
• Hands-on use of AI tools within an FP&A workflow
• Familiarity with NetSuite or QuickBooks and modern FP&A platforms (e.g., Mosaic, Cube, Pigment)
