Job Title: Senior FP&A and Accounting Specialist - Part Time - Remote
Job Summary:
The Part-Time Remote FP&A Analyst will provide critical financial insights to support decision-making and drive business performance. This role will focus on preparing and analyzing financial reports, conducting variance analysis, supporting deal evaluations, and creating driver-based forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a deep background in Accounting and experience in the medical industry. You must have a proven track record in delivering high-quality financial analysis and be open to working in a part-time, remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- P&L Management: Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements to assess financial performance and identify trends.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed variance analysis to compare actual results against budgets and forecasts, providing actionable insights.
- Deal Analysis: Evaluate financial implications of potential deals, partnerships, or investments, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Management Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate, concise management reports to support leadership decision-making.
- Pitch Decks: Create compelling financial pitch decks for internal and external stakeholders, presenting key financial metrics and projections.
- Driver-Based Forecasting: Build and maintain driver-based financial models to support accurate forecasting and scenario planning.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of FP&A and accounting experience, with a strong focus on P&L management, variance analysis, deal analysis, and driver-based forecasting.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the medical billing and Software as a Service industry is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Expertise in creating management reports and pitch decks.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software (e.g., ERP systems, Tableau, or similar tools).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
- Remote Work: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex financial data clearly to stakeholders.
- This part-time role requires 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate remote work.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
- Collaborate with the finance team and leadership through virtual meetings and communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Email).
