As our Accounting Specialist, you’ll bring meticulous precision and a methodical mindset to our finance operations. You’ll ensure our numbers align with German accounting standards, maintaining accuracy and harmony. You are an independent, detail-oriented professional with a sharp analytical mind—someone who finds serenity in spreadsheets and satisfaction in clean balance sheets.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Manage general and analytical accounting according to German standards (and Belgian standards when needed).
  2. Handle invoicing, expense reports, and administrative follow-up related to our events.
  3. Support monthly and yearly closings with Swiss-watch precision.
  4. Coordinate with local teams in Paris and Brussels, while staying closely connected to our German-speaking stakeholders.
  5. Ensure compliance with administrative processes and regulatory standards, adhering to German and Belgian accounting rules as applicable.

Must haves

(Candidates who do not meet these criteria will not be considered.)

  1. At least 2 years of accounting experience
  2. Native or near-native fluency in German & English
  3. In-depth knowledge of German accounting standards
  4. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
  5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  6. Based in Germany, France, or Belgium with a valid work permit (we do not sponsor visas)

Nice to haves

  • Proficiency in French
  • Knowledge of Belgian accounting standards
  • Experience in the event industry
