Job summary

SAS is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Industry Consultant, Pharma, a hands-on, embedded expert located in New Jersey with remote work options. You will co-create analytics and AI-enabled solutions on SAS platforms within the customer environment, collaborating with business, data science, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in life sciences/pharma consulting, analytics, data science engineering, or technical delivery.
• Hands‑on experience building analytics- or AI-driven solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience embedded with customers, including on-site in New Jersey.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical implementations that deliver value.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a customer-embedded consultant with business and technical teams.
• Lead time-boxed innovation sprints (~12 weeks) across multiple sprints.
• Translate challenges into production-ready SAS-based solutions within customer systems.
• Apply life sciences expertise to address R&D, clinical, manufacturing, etc., needs.
• Co-develop analytical methods and AI-driven approaches to deliver measurable improvements.
