Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with federal government customers, owning architecture and guiding end-to-end data, AI, and application delivery on the Databricks platform.

You will lead design decisions, implement production-grade systems, and ensure secure, scalable solutions with strong customer empathy. This hands-on, hybrid role requires travel to client sites 20–25% and close collaboration with Eng, Product, and Developer Relations to drive measurable

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Fluency in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Cloud experience with at least one major provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and lead design decisions for data/AI solutions using Databricks.
• Deliver end-to-end production systems including data pipelines, ML/AI models, and apps.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Embed with customer teams and train/assist on implementation and adoption.
• Provide accelerators, frameworks, and best practices to scale impact.
