Job summary

Notion is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead hands-on technical delivery for enterprise engagements. You will design, build, and deploy production-ready solutions that integrate Notion as the operating layer for customers' businesses, embedding with enterprise teams to solve scale, governance and data challenges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing or forward deployed engineering role.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, or Python with production-ready code.
• Hands-on experience with APIs and data integration.
• Ability to lead technical discovery with customers, assess feasibility, scope technical work.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of delivering customer value at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own hands-on technical delivery of customer engagements, including deep technical discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, and end-to-end implementation.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers make architectural decisions and identify opportunities to expand use of Notion.
• Design, build, and operate custom agents, integrations, automations, and data pipelines.
• Lead large-scale content and data migrations from discovery to post-migration optimization.
• Collaborate with customer IT, security and business stakeholders to gather requirements and make architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot complex implementation issues across APIs, integrations, and environments.
• Provide feedback loops to Product, CX, and Engineering to influence roadmap and tooling.
• Create reusable assets and tooling for deployments.
• Help define delivery methodologies and documentation for scale.
