Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to work with federal government customers, architecting and delivering data, AI, and application solutions using the Databricks platform.

You will own end-to-end architecture, engage with stakeholders across engineering and product, and ensure secure, scalable deployments. This role is hands-on and customer-facing, with 20–25% travel and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, data platforms or analytics.
• Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments; experience with MLOps and AI models.
• Experience delivering technical projects to enterprise clients and managing diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design decisions for production-grade data and AI solutions.
• Own end-to-end delivery from data ingestion to ML/AI model integration.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and client teams to ensure outcomes meet needs.
• Embed with customer teams and provide scalable accelerators and best practices.
