Job summary

Figma is expanding its Forward Deployed Engineering team to embed with strategic customers, solving adoption challenges by writing product code in customer environments and turning learnings into reusable paths.

You will work across product and engineering to shape the role, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and occasionally travel to customer sites. This is a senior/staff-level, fully remote role in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping production software end-to-end, with customer-facing exposure.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases and environments.
• Experience with design-to-code workflows and design system tokens.

Responsibilities

• Make enterprise design system agent-ready and integrate with AI tools.
• Implement and test code against customer environments and real deployments.
• Conduct technical discovery to scope fastest path to value for customers.
• Debug complex integration challenges across git, CI, and dev environments.
• Build MCP setup, agent skills, and prompt engineering tuned to contexts.
• Convert one-off solutions into reusable playbooks and product feedback.
