At Truelogic we are a leading provider of nearshore staff augmentation services headquartered in New York. For over two decades, we’ve been delivering top-tier technology solutions to companies of all sizes, from innovative startups to industry leaders, helping them achieve their digital transformation goals.

Our team of 600+ highly skilled tech professionals, based in Latin America, drives digital disruption by partnering with U.S. companies on their most impactful projects. Whether collaborating with Fortune 500 giants or scaling startups, we deliver results that make a difference.

By applying for this position, you’re taking the first step in joining a dynamic team that values your expertise and aspirations. We aim to align your skills with opportunities that foster exceptional career growth and success while contributing to transformative projects that shape the future.

Our Client

This leading home equity platform offers an alternative to traditional financing through its flagship product, the Home Equity Investment (HEI). An HEI allows homeowners to access their home equity to clear debt, navigate financial challenges, and diversify wealth without increasing monthly payments, while giving investors access to owner-occupied residential real estate.

Job Summary

This leading home equity platform is seeking its first Forward Deployed Engineer to establish a new capability focused on identifying, designing, and implementing automation solutions across complex product and operational workflows.

Sitting within DevOps but operating horizontally across the company, the role collaborates closely with Process Improvement teams and Product Owners. The position addresses workflows involving multiple systems, manual handoffs, and operational dependencies to determine how technology can optimize them. Rather than handling traditional ticket-driven engineering, this role takes ambiguous business problems, analyzes current processes, designs technical interventions, and owns implementation end-to-end.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Process Improvement, Product, DevOps, IT, Security, and other business functions to identify and understand workflow and process problems.

  • Translate ambiguous business problems into concrete technical approaches.

  • Map existing workflows, including systems, stakeholders, handoffs, dependencies, and bottlenecks.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and determine which problems are appropriate for technical intervention.

  • Design, prototype, build, and productionize automation solutions.

  • Integrate solutions with existing internal systems, APIs, infrastructure, and product workflows as required.

  • Communicate technical tradeoffs and proposed solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Work independently from discovery through implementation rather than relying on predefined engineering tickets.

  • Participate in DevOps ceremonies while maintaining close collaboration with Process Improvement and Product stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate strong ownership and proactively identify opportunities rather than waiting for work to be assigned.

  • Establish patterns and best practices that could support a broader FDE capability over time.

Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • Previous hands-on experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a genuinely equivalent forward-deployed role.

  • Strong software engineering background and ability to build production-quality solutions.

  • Proven experience implementing workflow/process automation solutions.

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to discover and define problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in ambiguous environments without detailed requirements.

  • Experience taking solutions from discovery/prototype through production.

  • Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to work across APIs, integrations, internal tools, and existing production systems.

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong ownership, autonomy, and leadership.
