Job summary

Okta is seeking a senior field authority for agent identity to own patterns, reference architecture, and strategic deployments. You will write code, guide product and engineering leadership, and mentor teams while driving the hardest implementations across accounts.

You will influence standards, engage with CISOs and senior engineers, and ensure security, privacy, and compliance are embedded in every deployment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years shipping production software with deep distributed systems and identity experience.
• OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, RFC 8693 token exchange, act claims, CIMD and DCR, DPoP; standards or open source is a plus.
• OWASP Top 10 for Agentic Applications, NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act; apply in HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 2.
• ReBAC and ABAC with policy engines (OPA, Cedar, OpenFGA) and scale tradeoffs.
• Production integrations across major agent platforms and MCP.
• Credible from IDE to the boardroom and can handle account politics.
• Founder’s mindset; building a function, not just an account.
• Travel up to 35% internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own the reference architecture for agent identity patterns used across the portfolio.
• Lead the most strategic, regulated deployments with no playbook.
• Raise the technical bar by reviewing architectures and coaching senior engineers.
• Shape the roadmap by synthesizing patterns into a clear point of view.
• Represent Okta as a technical authority to CISOs and senior stakeholders.
• Resolve the hardest technical and political challenges across accounts.
• Define evals and observability standards to scale the function.
• Build leverage by turning field work into reusable modules and tooling.
