Job summary

Okta is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Engineer to embed with four to five enterprise customers as their dedicated technical partner for agent identity. You will work alongside identity, platform, and security teams, write production code in customer environments, and own outcomes from prototype to production.

You are a builder-consultant who goes beyond diagrams to code, debug, and ship bespoke agent identity solutions, feeding field insights back to Okta product engineering.

Qualifications

• 7+ years shipping production software with on-call experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% (sometimes international).
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, token exchange.
• Familiarity with agent security frameworks and AI governance.
• Hands-on development with Claude, ChatGPT, or similar.
• Ability to communicate with senior leadership.
• Experience mapping deployments to security standards (HIPAA/FedRAMP/SOC 2).

Responsibilities

• Be the customer’s trusted technical voice on agent security.
• Architect and deploy security stack with customer teams.
• Engage senior leadership with risk and governance.
• Deliver secure production agents with governance and posture visibility.
• Ensure deployments align to OWASP Top 10, NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS.
• Integrate Okta solutions into customer stacks (IdP, IGA, posture).
• Develop evals and observability for authorization latency and audit.
• Convert field patterns into reusable product roadmap fixes.
• Regular on-site presence at customer locations.
