Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end technical delivery in a cross-functional pod, building and operating production Generative AI solutions in a regulated environment. The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders and vendor teams to shape solutions, integrate with enterprise systems, and ensure reliable deployment at scale.

Location is remote with US-based flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in production Generative AI
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Python, React, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
• Experience embedding with business users or vendor teams for co-development preferred
• Familiarity with insurance, claims, or healthcare domains is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end build streams within a pod, from problem shaping to production operation
• Design and operate production Generative AI agents and workflows
• Develop full-stack software in Python and React, delivering both service and user interface
• Manage deployment and operations on AWS using Terraform and CI/CD practices
• Implement observability and human-in-the-loop controls for AI systems
• Integrate AI services with enterprise systems using approved patterns
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior AI engineers

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will own end-to-end technical delivery within a cross-functional pod, from early problem framing through production support. The position focuses on building and operating production Generative AI solutions that improve how business teams work in a highly regulated environment. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and vendor teams to shape solutions, integrate with enterprise systems, and ensure reliable, controlled deployment at scale.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually
